Alexander Isak is taking DRASTIC action to force through Liverpool move

There are increasing signs that Alexander Isak will SOON be a Liverpool player. It’s been a landmark summer for the 2024/25 Premier League champions already - breaking the British transfer record for Florian Wirtz and adding plenty of other talent along the way.

The Newcastle striker failed to travel to Asia for the club’s preseason tour having informed Eddie Howe and Co. that he had no intention of signing a new contract.

With his current deal expiring in 2028, the 25-year-old told the club that he would like to explore a move away from St. James’ Park as soon as possible.

British record deal for Isak

Newcastle are in a good position to make big demands for the sale of Isak - and it could take a bid of £130m to land him this summer. But Liverpool are ready to land the No9 - with plenty of income banked on sales and more coming down the line too.

Luis Diaz will soon be confirmed as a Bayern Munich player - in a deal worth €75m and Darwin Nunez is likely to start the season with a new club too.

That means Hughes and head coach Arne Slot will be able to match Newcastle’s asking price and Liverpool can assemble a world-class strike force including Isak, Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah.

Isak unhappy at Newcastle

Isak is clearly excited about the prospect too as according to a new report in TBR Football the striker has taken DRASTIC action in a bid to see the move concluded.

He has not reported for training at the club’s training ground since reporting a slight thigh injury - officially the reason for him missing the tour.

Isak goes AWOL

“The Newcastle No.14 is understood to have disappeared since then,” the report reads.

“The man born in Solna has told Eddie Howe he is working on his own training programme at home away from Darsley Park. The situation has now reached a point where the striker has gone absent without leave.”

This is a sensational development - with reports claiming that Isak is now effectively AWOL.

The action is sure to anger club bosses - as well as supporters - but should pave the way for the transfer saga to reach a satisfactory conclusion as far as Liverpool are concerned.
