Al-Nassr have opened talks to sign Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich, according to journalists Fabrizio Romano and Florian Plettenberg.
Coman, who is under contract with Bayern until 2027, is no longer seen as untouchable and is expected to face increased competition for game time this season.
The 29-year-old’s €17 million gross annual salary is a primary factor in Bayern’s willingness to listen to offers, and the Saudi interest could provide an exit route.
Al-Nassr view Coman as their top target for the left-wing position and have reportedly tabled a lucrative contract offer worth around €25 million net per year, running until 2028.
That deal would represent a significant pay rise for the France international and make him one of the highest earners in Saudi Arabia, but he is yet to make a final decision.
Bayern have been informed of the talks, although no official bid has been submitted to the club at this stage.
Coman has spent eight years at Bayern since arriving from Juventus, winning multiple league titles and the Champions League, but his long-term role in the squad has come under fresh scrutiny.
A sale this summer would allow Bayern to move his high wages off the books and potentially explore other options in wide areas.
It could also open the door for internal solutions, with young prospects Paul Wanner and Lennart Karl waiting in the wings.
Wanner has returned from loan spells at Elversberg and Heidenheim, while Karl impressed in pre-season with a goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
Coman has previously drawn interest from other Saudi clubs, and Al-Nassr’s long-term pursuit dates back several months.
The situation remains fluid, but Al-Nassr’s financial muscle and Coman’s changing status at Bayern could accelerate negotiations in the coming weeks.
