Al-Hilal pull out of race for Victor Osimhen and turn attention to Liverpool’s Darwin Nuñez | OneFootball

Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have pulled out of the race to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen (26), according to a report from French media Foot Mercato. Sports Zone understands that the Saudi side’s attention has now turned to Darwin Nuñez (25).

Al-Hilal pulled out of the race to sign Osimhen due to his high wage demands. The Gulf state club had upped their bid to €35 pre year, however, it was not enough. They now believe that the Napoli forward is too expensive and so they are turning their attention to other strikers.

Sports Zone understands that Nuñez, who has struggled since arriving at Liverpool, is the main target for Al-Hilal. They are pushing hard to get a deal done for the Uruguay international. Liverpool, champions of England, are open to selling the centre-forward this summer and so he is on the market and available.

Meanwhile, for Osimhen, Galatasaray are pushing hard to retain the player. He spent last season on loan at the Turkish club.
