A 2nd member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the transfer wishlist of Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Frenkie de Jong as the player in question.
The Barcelona board, of course, are fresh off doing business with their counterparts at the aforementioned Al-Ittihad.
This comes after Barca Atlètic captain and star man Unai Hernández opted to take his talents to the Middle East, to line out alongside the likes of Karim Benzema, Fabinho and Moussa Diaby.
Al-Ittihad’s Camp Nou shopping list, however, does not end there.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Al-Ittihad have been interested in Frenkie de Jong for some time. And they have the money to take him’ ahead of the expiration of the midfielder’s contract in the summer of 2026.
The issue for the SPL side, however, is that De Jong has to date shown little interest in making a move away from Barcelona.
