The Bank Holiday weekend saw three tight EFL play-off finals settle the promotion picture across 'The 72' - and Charlton and AFC Wimbledon's defensive steel saw them join an exclusive group of teams to contest an entire play-off phase without conceding a goal.
The Championship-bound Addicks ground out a 1-0 win over east London rivals Leyton Orient on Sunday, courtesy of Macaulay Gillesphey's free-kick, while AFC Wimbledon secured League One football next season thanks to Myles Hippolyte's strike in first-half injury time against Walsall on Bank Holiday Monday.
Both Charlton and AFC Wimbledon won both legs of their play-off semi-finals - versus Wycombe and Notts County respectively - by a goal to nil, meaning that both teams' defences remained unbreached during the decisive play-off phase of the season.
Prior to this season, only nine teams had previously managed the feat (dating back to the EFL rebrand in 2004/05). Now part of an exclusive group of 11 teams, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon can look forward to playing in a higher division next season - unlike Sheffield United, who lost to Sunderland in the Championship play-off final on Saturday.
The Blades have now failed to be promoted via the play-offs on TEN occasions and - in relation to the above clean sheets stat - Sheffield United are the only team ever to keep three clean sheets and not be promoted. The Yorkshire side reached the 2011/12 play-off final against Huddersfield after two shutouts in the semis, but they eventually lost 8-7 on penalties to the Terriers after a goal-less draw at Wembley.
