Manchester City continue to be at the centre of intense transfer interest as the deadline for another summer market fast approaches.

This week will conclude a chaotic market for the Premier League champions, who have operated at speed in all departments, but particular when it comes to outgoings and sealing the futures of some of their most promising talents.

Such development plans have not only seen players leave on loan deals, including those that include options to buy in the coming weeks, but also permanent agreements to permit the wishes of players eyeing other pathways at the top of the European game.

Julian Alvarez was the most high-profile of the players to leave the club with an eye on greater opportunities starting matches for a top European club, joining Atletico Madrid in a €95 million package agreement earlier this summer.

On the youth front, the likes of Callum Doyle, Maximo Perrone, and Mahamadou Susoho have all left the clubs on loan agreements, joining Norwich City, Como, and Peterborough United respectively, with the latter having already returned due to a serious thigh problem.

Now, according to the information of the Manchester Evening News’ Joe Bray, highly-rated City Academy graduate Josh Wilson-Esbrand is set to leave the club on loan before this week’s transfer deadline, despite being reintegrated into the first-team picture this summer.

Wilson-Esbrand’s youth teammate Joel Ndala is also attracting high-profile attention from across Europe, with the report naming both AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven as potential suitors for the player, joining Ajax in the chase for the 18-year-old.

The Manchester Evening News go on to name Jadel Katongo as another further potential exit in the coming days, with the player hoping to build upon an extremely positive season on loan at Peterborough United last campaign.

Any loan deal for Wilson-Esbrand would mark his fourth successive temporary move away from the Etihad Stadium, having taken on experiences with Coventry City and Cardiff City in the Football League, as well as Stade Reims in France.

As for Joel Ndala, the exciting 18-year-old winger would be making his first steps into senior men’s football, and while Manchester City remain open to the idea of a permanent sale, it remains to be seen whether they would include favourable contract clauses in any deal.

No further first-team departures are expected this summer, but there remains a chance that Atletico Madrid could intensify loan interest in Matheus Nunes before the summer market concludes, with the Portugal international struggling for game time.
