With not much time left before the summer transfer window comes to an end, FC Barcelona are working to finalise one last departure – that of Hector Fort.

The 19-year-old right-back is no longer a part of manager Hansi Flick’s plans in the first team and as such, an exit, on loan, has been deemed the best solution for his immediate future.

But, the Blaugrana have been unable to finalise a departure thus far, although it is not due to a shortage of interest.

Four clubs interested

Indeed, as relayed by MARCA, as many as four clubs are interested in the young La Masia full-back – both from Spain and external leagues.

The team most closely linked with the player, as relayed multiple times in recent weeks, is Mallorca, who see him as a potential replacement for the exit-linked Pablo Maffeo.

However, with Maffeo’s exit currently stalled, a loan move for Fort is also on pause.

That, however, is only one of the proposals on his table as the Spanish outlet relays that the player also has attracted interest from AC Milan, and it remains to be seen what he makes of that interest.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a replacement for Alex Jimenez, who joined Bournemouth recently, with Fort’s name emerging as an option.

Furthermore, two other anonymous clubs are also studying the possibility of launching a proposal for Fort, although it is unknown if that interest is from La Liga or a foreign league.

If the team’s first three games are anything to go by, Fort has no place in Hansi Flick’s plans and is the third-choice right-back for all practical purposes.

A departure, needless to say, would be the best solution for all parties involved, but the player is running out of time if he is to push for an exit.

If a move does not materialise, it is not ruled out that Fort remains at Barcelona until January, although in such a scenario, he would be left playing for the reserve team in the fourth tier.
