Hansi Flick’s arrival on the FC Barcelona bench allowed several Blaugrana players to take their game to a higher level. This was not only the case for the big stars like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Pedri, and Lamine Yamal, but also for some other less notable players.
For instance, Ferran Torres showed a great improvement in his game despite not being a clear starter, as he played mostly as a replacement for Lewandowski.
Similarly, the midfielder Fermin Lopez also had quite an impressive season with Flick, and he enjoyed a good run of form at the very end of the 2024-25 season. Overall, he scored 8 goals and provided 11 assists in 46 total appearances last season.
Still, his presence in the starting lineup is not guaranteed for the next season, owing mainly to the high competition in the Barcelona midfield, and other clubs are looking to take advantage of this situation to attract the youngster to their team.
According to Ben Jacobs (h/t Mundo Deportivo), this is particularly the case with the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who have sounded out the €50 million-rated player and promised him a more prominent role in their team. However, the midfielder has ruled out such a move as he wants to stay at the Blaugrana club.
Other reports indicate that he also has a big offer from the Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli, but he is not keen to accept that offer as well.
The Spaniard has a release clause of €500 million, which has been active since he renewed his contract with the Catalan club till 2029 last October. He has been associated with Barcelona since he was 13, when he joined La Masia.
However, before making his way to the first team, he gained experience with Primera RFEF side Linares in the 2022-23 season, in which he scored 12 goals and provided 4 assists.
