After a very difficult start to the season in regards to injuries and physical problems suffered by some of their most important players, the last few days have seen several of these players returning to the pitch for FC Barcelona.

Meanwhile, some other players are still in their recovery processes. One such player, Ronald Araujo, is reportedly nearing his return from injury, and is working extra hours to ensure he can return to the field as soon as possible.

However, there is no return date in sight for the other injured defender, Andreas Christensen, who continues to work on his recovery from his tendinopathy problem in the Achilles tendon.

Two months have already passed since the club announced this problem following the match against Athletic Club, but there was no deadline regarding his return when the injury was detected.

An update on his condition has been provided by SPORT, which claims that the Dane has already returned to work on grass. This is a very good sign as far as his recovery is concerned, but even if the defender is able to make a quick return to fitness, Barcelona will face another problem regarding his return.

Christensen is not currently registered with La Liga as Barcelona used his long-term injury to register Dani Olmo last summer. Thus, the €30m-rated Dane will have to be registered again whenever he is available to be able to step back on the pitch.

In fact, his registration is one of the priorities, both of the sporting and the coaching departments. This is especially the case as Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi have a lot of minutes this season, and would need rest going forward to avoid physical problems.

Thus, the Catalans are focusing fully on returning to the 1:1 status, which will allow them to register Christensen once again in January, which is one of the priorities of the club considering his tactical fit with Flick’s style.
