The Bantams could do with more additions to round off their League One squad
Bradford City have settled extremely well into their first campaign back in League One for seven years.
After the most dramatic of promotion-clinching goals on the final day of the season - when Antoni Sarcevic scored with effectively the final kick of the season to win promotion ahead of Walsall by virtue of beating Fleetwood Town - the Bantams have had a great start to this third tier campaign, currently sitting fourth.
After starting the campaign with a home win against a Wycombe Wanderers side that reached the play-off semi-finals last term, they were largely on top in a goalless draw against Northampton Town before they pulled off a Carabao Cup shock, beating Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
They then continued that momentum with an impressive 2-1 win over Luton Town, before beating fellow promotion challengers Stockport County 2-1 at Edgeley Park.
There was late heartbreak for Bantams supporters on Saturday though, as a late equaliser from Peterborough United handed them a point at the Weston Homes Stadium and denied the Yorkshire side all three.
Graham Alexander's side have had a very good transfer window so far, having got most of their business done earlier in the window, with Nick Powell joining last week to add some more experience.
However, the Scotsman has still hinted that he'd like to add at least one more body to the playing roster at the University of Bradford Stadium before the window closes next Monday, so here FLW have taken a look at two players who should be being eyed up by Alexander.
Given his legendary status just across west Yorkshire at Huddersfield Town, Jonathan Hogg may be a bit of a controversial signing for Bradford City.
But the combative midfielder, who is now a free agent after his exit from the Terriers, would add plenty of experience for a third tier club, and he could be another dressing room leader at Valley Parade.
Hogg seemingly wants to have one more season as a pro before going into coaching, and he could add an extra head to what is already a decent Bantams engine room.
At 36 years of age he will offer a considerable amount of experience to aid the likes of Max Power, Alex Pattison and Sarcevic in that midfield, and although on paper City seem well-stocked in the engine room, it is going to be a long season and Hogg's know-how could be a difference maker.
Former Scotland youth international centre-back Tom McIntyre has already played for three clubs at League One level - and has won promotion out of it in the last two seasons - albeit he didn't play much of an important part in either.
At 26, he is getting to the stage of his career where he needs to be playing competitive football week in, week out, and it certainly appears as if the Portsmouth title-winner's days at Fratton Park are numbered, as he is yet to feature in Pompey's squad for any of their Championship or Carabao Cup clashes so far.
He did make 10 appearances during the second half of last season for Charlton Athletic on loan, but didn't feature in any of their play-off matches as the Addicks returned to the second tier.
McIntyre would be a really useful option for Alexander to have as an extra left-sided centre-back, particularly as the Bantams boss has experimented with quite a few different back threes this season.
If McIntyre can be kept fit, then there is definitely a real talent in there and, adding to Hogg's ability, Bradford would be building a dangerous team to perhaps even challenge for the play-offs this season.
