Manchester United’s interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has made several changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Leicester City.
The Red Devils parted ways with Erik ten Hag earlier this week following the 2-1 Premier League defeat at West Ham United.
Nistelrooy has been placed in temporary charge for the next few games.
The Dutchman has made four changes from the loss at the London Stadium. Andre Onana gets a breather with Altay Bayindir starting in goal.
There is one change to the backline. Victor Lindelof comes into the starting line-up to replace Noussair Mazraoui. He is likely to start at left-back.
Manuel Ugarte has been reinstated into the starting XI after being an unused substitute last weekend. He will accompany Casemiro in midfield, with Christian Eriksen ruled out with injury.
United are reportedly playing with a 4-4-2 formation under Nistelrooy. Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford are set to line up on the flanks against the Foxes.
Bruno Fernandes will play as a centre-forward tonight alongside Joshua Zirkzee. Rasmus Hojlund makes way for the latter. The Dane may be rested with a view to the Chelsea game on Sunday.
