Girona FC and Watford FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yáser Asprilla. The Colombian winger has joined the Club until the 2029-2030 season.
The new 20 year old footballer started playing in the youth ranks of Envigado FC, a Colombian club with one of the best youth academies in the country. From a very young age, Yáser stood out for his speed, dribbling ability and vision.
His great footballing quality led him to make his debut in Envigado's first team at the age of 17, where he demonstrated his ability to play both as a winger and as an attacking midfielder, showing his ability to unbalance defenders and create goal-scoring opportunities.
Leap to Europe
In 2022 Yáser took a step forward in his career by moving to European football and joining Watford FC, currently playing in the Championship, the English second division. With the Hornets he has played 81 games.
Asprilla's talent has not gone unnoticed by the Colombian national team coaches. The new Girona player has played with the Under-20s and with the senior team, with which he was runner-up in the Copa America 2024.
