Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid press conference cancelled ahead of PSG clash | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso was forced to cancel his scheduled pre-match press conference ahead of the club’s upcoming showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.

This comes after severe weather culminated in Los Blancos’ travelling party arriving several hours late in New Jersey.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action later today, in a Club World Cup semi-final showdown with Champions League holders PSG.

The Spanish outfit, in turn, flew out for the MetLife Stadium late last night.

As alluded to above, however, mid-flight, the club’s plans were altered owing to unforeseen circumstances.

After a storm hit New York, Real’s private jet was forced to circle their intended landing spot for several hours.

Upon finally touching down, it was therefore announced that the planned press conference for Xabi Alonso and several Real Madrid stars had been cancelled.

Both Los Merengues and their upcoming opponents will no doubt be hoping for better weather conditions ahead of kick-off on Wednesday evening…
