A fresh insight into the chances of Trent Alexander-Arnold playing his part for La Liga giants Real Madrid at this summer’s Club World Cup has on Tuesday been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, and suggests that signs currently point towards precisely as much.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the England international at last announced his decision to depart Liverpool on a free transfer this summer, ahead of linking up with long-time suitors Real Madrid.

Chatter surrounding the Club World Cup, in turn, has inevitably followed, amid questions surrounding whether or not Alexander-Arnold will be eligible to play his part.

The understanding is that, to ensure as much, Real Madrid would need to fork over a small sum to Liverpool, whilst TAA himself would be required to forego his final month’s wages at Anfield.
