Cole Palmer has warned people to give Estevao Willian time when he comes to Chelsea, but insisted the Brazilian has “amazing quality.”

Chelsea advanced to the semi finals of the Club World Cup on Friday night with a 2-1 win against Palmeiras, to set up a clash with Fluminense in New York.

Palmer opened the scoring, before Estevao equalised on his final game for his boyhood club, with Malo Gusto’s deflected striker seven minutes from time giving Chelsea the win.

Palmer speaks on Estevao

Estevao was voted man of the match and the Brazilian sensation will now join Chelsea, after the Blues agreed a deal worth up to £51.4m last summer.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best talents in the world for his age, and he showed glimpses of what he can do against the Blues.

Chelsea believe the Brazil international is a generational talent, but Maresca warned Estevao needs time, something Palmer has echoed.

“When he comes to England, people need to give him time to adapt to the culture, the language, he’s only 18 or 19. But you can see he’s got amazing quality, and I will look forward to seeing him,” he said as cited on X.com.

Estevao is expected to go straight into the first team squad and compete for minutes next season, and there’s a lot of excitement surrounding his arrival.

Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos impress

Estevao wasn’t the only Brazilian to impress with both Joao pedro and Andrey Santos putting in good performances.

Santos was named in the starting line-up after Reece James picked up an injury during the warm up, and the 21-year-old showed Chelsea fans what they can expect from him.

Pedro, who was only announced by Chelsea earlier this week came off the bench as a second half substitute and looked impressive, and could be in line for his first start against Fluminense with Liam Delap suspended.
