Dino Toppmöller on training this week, personnel and the primetime match against Leipzig.

Eintracht host Leipzig at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday evening for the Bundesliga’s headline Matchday 31 fixture (kick-off 18:30 CEST). At his press briefing ahead of the game, head coach Dino Toppmöller spoke about... … the current situation: “It’s Matchday 31 and we’ve got a great game coming up. We’re aware that we can take a huge step tomorrow with a win at home. We’re determined to win on Saturday, and then we’ll see where we’re at. I don’t get the sense that there’s any negative pressure, everyone’s just really looking forward to it. We see the game against Leipzig as a big chance and we’re approaching it with all of our energy.”

… training this past week: “We’ve had a normal week of training for the first time in a while. We’ve trained hard, the boys are fired up for the home match against Leipzig.”

… team news: “We’ve got our game plan. As well as Kauã Santos and Mario Götze, Igor Matanovic is out due to illness. Otherwise everyone’s available and has a chance of being in the squad. With Mario Götze we need to see how the healing process goes now. We have faint hopes that he could be involved in the season finale but we have to wait and see.”

… upcoming opponents Leipzig: “They’re a really good team and they’ve got a strong starting line-up that still has the quality of previous years. This season certainly hasn’t panned out the way they would have liked but they had some problems with injuries. Some of the players who’ve been absent in recent weeks are back now. Leipzig have a top-class team, which they’ve underlined often enough, but just not with the same consistency as in previous years. But they’re in contention to achieve their aims in the league and they also reached the DFB Cup semi-finals.”
