A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday spoken out regarding the impending arrival of Kylian Mbappé in Spain’s top-flight.

It is of course world football’s worst-kept secret that frontman Mbappé is all set to link up with Real Madrid this summer.

After coming to the decision not to renew his expiring contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the Frenchman has since been locked in negotiations with the Blancos brass, with an agreement between the parties now understood to be in place.

Mbappé’s arrival will add yet further to what is beginning to look like an embarrassment of riches at the disposal of Carlo Ancelotti in Madrid in 2024/25.

This comes with Real’s headmaster, in the attacking third alone, expected to be able to call upon all of Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, Brahim Díaz, Arda Güler, Joselu, Endrick, and Mbappé.

Safe to say then, that those on the other half of the Clásico divide will have their work cut out for them in keeping pace with the newly-crowned La Liga champions next season.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the subject of Real Madrid’s latest incoming Galáctico was in turn put to Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski.

During an interview with Marca, as part of his role as ambassador for G2A.com, frontman Lewandowski was adamant that Mbappé’s imminent arrival should only serve as motivation for he and his Blaugrana teammates, who must maintain the belief that they ‘can beat’ their arch rivals on any given day:

“It’s not official yet but it seems that all roads lead to Real Madrid. Fear? No, of course he is an incredible player and if he goes to Real Madrid, it will be a very strong team. But our mentality has to be that no matter how good players you have, if we are a team and work together, we can beat you. We have to be ready from the first game and the first minutes because Real Madrid will surely need time, they will not play well at the beginning and lose points, and we have to take advantage of it. Not to catch them but to be ahead of them. Like two seasons ago, in which there were games that we couldn’t win but that we didn’t lose.”
