The question we were asking Newcastle United fans on Thursday was – Where do you now think Newcastle United will finish this season in the Premier League?

We are now coming out of the first international break.

Newcastle United having played four matches so far this season, three in the Premier League and one in the League (Carabao) Cup.

Wolves away on Sunday in our next Premier League match, currently with seven points from a possible nine.

Man City and Liverpool having won all three PL games, then Newcastle United one of three clubs with seven points.

We know it is very early doors, still 35 Premier League matches to go, but we asked Newcastle United fans, if they had to put their mortgage/rent on it, what was their gut feeling on where Newcastle United will end up in this 2024/25 season?

Conclusions

Only a very small handful of those voting, voted for a bottom half position. Certainly no position below 10th getting close to 0.51% of the total vote that would have seen a 1% put against that placing.

Fifth place just marginally the most popular with 24% of the vote, whilst fourth and sixth each got 23%. Which is the real story I think of the voting, 70% of the Newcastle United fans believing somewhere between fourth and sixth is most likely.

Amusing that more Newcastle United fans voted NUFC to win (2%) the Premier League than finish runners-up (1%)!!

Averaging out all the votes, Newcastle United fans collectively thought fifth was the most likely finishing position (it averaged out at 5.3).
