Arsenal registered their fourth win of the Champions League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Monaco at the Emirates Stadium last night.

The Gunners had a slow start to the game, but they managed to pick up momentum and went into the break with a comfortable 1-0 lead.

The London giants could have easily scored five goals with the big chances created. Monaco dominated proceedings early in the second half, but Arsenal came on top with a 3-0 win.

Bukayo Saka was the star of the game with two goals and an assist for Kai Havertz’s late goal.

However, Myles Lewis-Skelly was equally brilliant in his maiden Champions League start at left-back.

The Arsenal graduate delivered a splendid pass for Gabriel Jesus, who created Saka’s opening goal.

Speaking after the game, Saka said that he is ‘so proud’ of Lewis-Skelly, who managed to replicate his training ground performance on the pitch.

He told TNT Sports (via BBC Sport): “I just said to him ‘this is his level’, he needs to have no doubts, play the game and have the confidence.

“We see what he’s doing in training. We are pleased for him and he played a key part in the first goal. He just needs to keep going. I’m just so proud of him.”

Aside from his wonderful key pass, the 18-year-old sensation had a passing accuracy of 96 percent with 100 percent of his dribbles won.

Lewis-Skelly won five out of seven duels contested and lost possession on just two occasions. He won his only tackle attempted on the night.

The youngster got the nod over Kieran Tierney, who was fancied to start. He certainly made a big impression in a crucial game for Arsenal.

Arsenal host Everton in the Premier League on Saturday. Despite Lewis-Skelly’s top showing, manager Mikel Arteta is likely to drop him to the bench.

Jurrien Timber should start as the left-back. The Dutchman could move to the right if Riccardo Calafiori is deemed fit to make the team once more.
