At just 20, Canada international Olivia Smith is a long way from home playing for Liverpool in the WSL.

Yet she’s already got bags of experience, having left her native country in 2023 to move to Sporting.

She caught Liverpool’s eye after 13 goals in 18 appearances in Portugal, as well as two goals in 10 senior appearances for Canada.

Now, she’s off the mark in the WSL – becoming the youngest Canadian to score in the English top flight – scoring after just seven minutes against West Ham.

It seems she’s about to become a household name across the pond.
