Former Roma defender Vincent Candela discussed the club’s decision to appoint Claudio Ranieri as their head coach for third time in history.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Candela said, “I think Ranieri will need time.”
“I would have appointed Ranieri as an executive figure and I would have brought back De Rossi as coach,” he added.
“The first, with all the experience he has, to create the optimal conditions around the team, and Daniele to continue the work already started.”
“Together they would have had more strength. Daniele, for example, with Pellegrini could immediately recreate a team within the team.”
“Totti? I think he’d be an excellent signing for the club. Many in the management and in the squad would listen to him.
