With the scoreline level at 1-1 early in the second half, the full Colombian international was called upon once more by Emery to make the difference, and he delivered in kind with a strike just six minutes after his introduction to put Villa back in front at Red Bull Arena.

Not only has his ten goals across all competitions this season come in just four starts, but the former Chicago Fire forward has netted seven times off the bench for Villa on all fronts.

Sometimes you just need a savior, and Villa might need him again, with Leipzig levelling for a second time in a hugely entertaining game.
