While Messi’s arrival has turned around Inter Miami’s fortunes on the pitch, the team and the sport itself, is gaining a lot of popularity ever since he joined the club.

Fans are excited to see the Greatest of All Time in action and as such the stadiums are filling out despite sky-high ticket prices.

The fanfare surrounding the Argentine, though, means that security has to be alert at every step, and as such, Messi’s new bodyguard appears to be attracting a lot of attention.

Indeed, Messi’s bodyguard has been pulling ‘overtime’ as he has been spotted pacing along the sidelines of football pitches to stop intruders from approaching the 36-year-old Barcelona legend while he is on the field.

As can be seen in the video compilation below, Messi’s bodyguard follows him everywhere like a shadow, before, during, and after football matches, to ensure that the Argentine is not approached by intruders.

Messi already breaking records at Inter Miami

In a short time in Florida, Messi has earned legendary status as he led Inter Miami to their first-ever trophy by helping them with the MLS Leagues Cup earlier this month.

In doing so, he also went on to become the footballer with the most number of trophies in their career (44) while he has also scored the most number of goals in the finals in the history of the game.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and former Barcelona captain has also guided his team to the US Open Cup finals as well.
