The first-team squad at La Liga giants Barcelona on Sunday held a minute’s silence for club doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia.

This of course comes following the sudden passing of the Blaugrana staff member on Saturday night.

Less than an hour out from the scheduled La Liga kick-off between Barca and Osasuna yesterday evening, word was forthcoming that the fixture had been postponed.

This came, sadly, after the aforementioned Miñarro Garcia passed away suddenly at the team hotel.

Hansi Flick’s squad were hit understandably hard by the news of Miñarro Garcia’s death, with the doctor having joined Barcelona’s players for their pre-match preparations just hours prior.

On Sunday, the Catalan club’s stars in turn came together to pay their respects to their colleague, his family, and friends.

As showcased in the footage below, unveiled by Barcelona themselves, a minute’s silence was observed at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this morning:
