Liverpool faced off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this evening as they looked to secure a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Reds made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the third minute when Enzo Fernandez found the back of the net. The Merseyside club failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Jarell Quansah scored an unfortunate own goal in the 56th minute which left the visitors with a mountain to climb. Virgil Van Dijk got a goal back for the Reds in the 85th minute but Cole Palmer won the game for Chelsea in injury time when he scored from the penalty spot. The match finished with Arne Slot’s men suffering a lackluster 3-1 loss away from home.
