Bayern Munich and France defender Dayot Upamecano is delighted to be playing alongside Michael Olise at both club and international level.
Olise has hit the ground running with the Bavarians following his summer move from Crystal Palace, scoring seven goals and laying on four assists, and Upamecano is very impressed with what he's seen from the 22-year-old.
"Olise is an incredible player with a lot of maturity. I think he's going to be a big player," Upamecano said at a press conference on Tuesday.
"I see him very happy and I feel he's progressing. I'm very happy to be able to play with him at Bayern and in the French team. It's a privilege for me to play with him. I know he's going to be a very big player.
“It (playing for Bayern) is not a burden for him. Sometimes I have to defend against him and it's not easy at all!”
Upamecano was also full of praise for another French teammate, Kingsley Coman, who has been called up to replace the injured Ousmane Dembélé.
“I have never seen Coman doubt himself. I've always seen him confident. He's at an incredible level right now. He's performing well in every game. Whether he's on the bench or not, he's the Kingsley Coman we all want to see.”
