United fans think the club have just dropped the biggest hint yet that outcast star will be playing under Amorim next season

With the transfer window now open for business until the end of the summer, several Manchester United players are awaiting clarification on their futures.

Namely, the trio of senior loan returnees Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford — all of whom are expected to be on the move before 2025/2026 gets underway.

Each has enjoyed revived form in their respective loan spells, though some more than others. While Sancho did look more promising in a Chelsea shirt than he has for United in recent years, the Blues ultimately opted against making his transfer permanent. Instead, they paid a £5 million penalty to bypass the £25m obligation-to-buy and send him back to Old Trafford.

Real Betis have been doing their utmost to keep hold of Antony following his stellar string of performances in Seville. However, United are adamant about sanctioning a full sale of their £86m acquisition, and the Spanish outfit would struggle to meet whatever price tag is set — likely to be in the region of £30m before the discussion of wages comes into the mix.

As for Rashford, he also impressed during his brief stint with Aston Villa, but called it a day by sending a farewell message when 2024/2025 drew to a close, despite the club having the option of signing him for £40m.

It’s thought he has had his sights set on a move to Barcelona, having held talks with the La Liga champions in the winter before an agreement failed to materialise.

Rashford’s agent did meet with Blaugrana chiefs a few weeks back, although they have since prioritised the arrival of Nico Williams from Athletic Club. If they fail to get that deal over the line, they may well return for Luis Diaz instead of pursuing the United graduate.

Have United hinted that Marcus Rashford will be staying put?

This week, eagle-eyed Reds think they spotted a hint that the 27-year-old could be staying at United for the forthcoming campaign.

When choosing whether to personalise the side’s newly-released home shirt with a player’s name, supporters are able to select Rashford from the official list but are unable to do so with Antony or Sancho.
