According to Bianconera News and Spazio J, former Juventus striker David Trezeguet recently offered a candid assessment of the club's current direction, individuals in the squad, and the impact of coach Igor Tudor in a period marked by change and high stakes.
Trezeguet highlighted the significance of Randal Kolo Muani's arrival, stressing that the French forward has quickly earned both confidence and status at Juventus, something he struggled to achieve during his time at PSG. "Randal has found the trust he lacked at PSG, it’s clear. He arrived at Juventus and immediately showed his value. He looks happy at the club—a key aspect for a player. He suits Tudor’s system well," Trezeguet commented.
On Dusan Vlahovic, whose position has come under scrutiny, Trezeguet was direct: "He’ll have to work to win back his place. For Tudor, it’s evident that Kolo Muani is the first choice at the moment. Vlahovic has scored in recent matches, and for a striker that’s always extra motivation, but he must prove every day that he deserves the Juventus shirt." Trezeguet’s remarks reinforce a growing sense within the club that competition for attacking roles is intensifying, particularly with Vlahovic needing to respond to Kolo Muani’s emergence.
Juventus continue to monitor potential market opportunities, with Jonathan David seen as a leading candidate for the attacking line. While Trezeguet acknowledged David’s qualities—describing him as quick, dangerous, and a regular goalscorer—he cautioned that succeeding at Juventus requires a different level of consistency and resilience: "David has shown in France that he’s an interesting number nine, but wearing the Juventus shirt is something else. He has talent and scores goals, that's what the club wants. Still, you have to prove you’re up to it every day at Juventus. With Kolo Muani, they could form a strong, fast partnership; both have many goals in their legs."
As for emerging talent, Trezeguet reserved clear praise for Kenan Yildiz, calling him "a great player, the future is his." He advocated for patience and guidance in Yildiz's development, noting that the Turkish attacking midfielder must be allowed to find comfort and fun on the pitch: "He’s shown interesting talent, but it’s early. Let him enjoy himself—when he’s in sync with the game, he makes a difference."
Trezeguet also pointed to the broader shifts under Tudor, emphasizing the manager’s immediate impact on the mindset and tactical discipline of the squad, especially compared to previous regimes. He stressed that Juventus cannot afford to approach competitions as mere participants: "Tudor knows the club's world and has made important changes, even mentally. The team is following his ideas. For Juventus, it's about competing to win, not just being there."
These perspectives come as Juventus balance the demands of the Club World Cup, a looming tie against Real Madrid, and ongoing squad restructuring. Trezeguet’s insights underline the complex dynamics facing the Bianconeri as they aim to restore their competitive edge.
