Tottenham and Manchester United meet on Thursday December 19 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, with the action set to get under way at 20:00.
The big last-eight showdown is live on Sky Sports Main Event.
Tottenham (4-3-3): Forster; Spence, Dragusin, Gray, Porro; Sarr, Kulusevski, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son.
Manchester United (3-4-2-1): Bayindir; De Ligt, Lindelof, Maguire; Antony, Mainoo, Ugarte, Dalot, Diallo, Rashford; Zirkzee.
Both managers are expected to make some changes as they look to rotate their regular starters during an ongoing busy campaign.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou’s options are limited, though, as he currently has at least seven first-team players on the sidelines.
First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, defenders Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies and forwards Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are all out injured.
Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended for the hosts, while Mikey Moore has been absent recently due to illness but could be available for Thursday.
United’s injury issues are not as severe but Luke Shaw remains out and Mason Mount was forced off early in the Manchester derby and is a major doubt.
Noussair Mazraoui also sustained a knock at the Etihad and will be assessed. Ruben Amorim may opt to recall Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho after they were both left out of the squad for Sunday’s clash.
Both teams head into the cup clash on the back of important Premier League wins at the weekend. Spurs hammered Southampton 5-0 at St Mary’s, while United scored two late goals to stun rivals Manchester City and win the derby 2-1 at the Etihad.
Amorim got the statement win he wanted early in his tenure as Red Devils boss, leaving City shell-shocked on Sunday thanks to a penalty from Bruno Fernandes and a sensational winner from in-form Amad Diallo.
The result still leaves his side down in a disappointing 13th place in the table, but it was a victory to build on and confidence should be high when his side go to North London next.
The Portuguese coach knows staying on course for silverware in his first season in charge will be vital as he attempts to improve United after their struggles under former boss Erik ten Hag.
Spurs, meanwhile, remain on the hunt for the club’s first trophy since 2008 – when they won this competition – and Postecoglou’s side, who have been infuriatingly inconsistent this season, should also be buoyant following their big win on the south coast.
That victory moved them up to 10th in the Premier League, just a point better off than Thursday’s opponents.
Spurs have edged out Coventry City and Man City to get this far in the League Cup, winning both ties 2-1, while United have made smooth progress so far, outclassing Barnsley 7-0 and then beating Leicester 5-2, also at home, in the previous round.
