Spurs looking to enter international break off the back of a Premier League win
Tottenham are offered what looks a favourable chance to enter the international break off the back of another Premier League win when they host Ipswich on Sunday.
Spurs smashed Aston Villa 4-1 last time out after a stunning second-half comeback, having only just knocked Manchester City out of the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side.
They were, however, beaten 3-2 by Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday night to lose their 100 per cent record in that competition in dramatic circumstances - albeit after a raft of changes.
While consistency can sometimes prove an issue for Ange Postecoglou’s side, they will no doubt fancy their chances against the winless Tractor Boys.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Tottenham vs Ipswich is scheduled for a 2pm GMT kick-off time on Sunday 10 November 2024.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London will host.
TV channel and live stream: The game will not be broadcast in the UK.
Free highlights: Match of the Day 2, however, will show highlights when it airs at 10.30pm GMT on BBC One.
LIVE coverage: Follow all the action with Standard Sport's dedicated match blog!
Spurs will be without Micky van de Ven until after the international break, while Richarlison and Wilson Odobert are facing spells on the sidelines.
There is hope Cristian Romero will return from the knock he sustained against Villa, while Heung-min Son looks in line to start.
For the visitors, Harry Clarke could return from suspension but Kalvin Phillips is out due to the red card he was shown against Leicester. Axel Tuanzebe is injured following a freak accident while washing up and Chiedozie Ogbene is unlikely to play again this season.
Spurs have to be strong favourites here, even if Ipswich have been fairly unlucky in some of their games. A loss would be a real sour note.
