Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to kick off an important week with victory on Sunday afternoon when they visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

A trip to Selhurst Park is followed by a midweek Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City, one of the routes to a potential trophy for Ange Postecoglou in his second season at the helm. There is another huge test next weekend as well, with in-form Aston Villa visiting north London in the Premier League.

Spurs have been in encouraging form themselves over the past month and they have tasted victory in seven of their last eight outings. They're likely to be without injured skipper Son Heung-min for Sunday's journey across London, but the Lilywhites will be eager to pour even more misery on the winless Eagles.

Here is how Spurs could line up this weekend.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario - Even Vicario was handed a rest midweek as Spurs beat AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League and the Italian will be fresh for Sunday. Palace's expected goals tally of 10.11 tells a truer story of the attacking quality they still possess, with Vicario needing to be on high alert.

RB: Pedro Porro - Porro was another given the night off on Thursday having played almost every match this season. With Eberechi Eze drifting into wide left positions for Palace, the Spaniard will have to have his defensive noggin on this weekend.

CB: Cristian Romero - Tottenham have generally struggled to keep Premier League clean sheets this season and Romero's tendency to lose concentration is one reason behind a lack of shutouts. However, the Argentine will be key in a physical battle with Jean-Philippe Mateta at Selhurst.

CB: Micky van de Ven - The Dutchman's recovery speed is absolutely essential to Spurs' high line functioning properly. Somewhat unexpectedly, only James Maddison has more Premier League assists than the centre-half this season for Spurs.

LB: Destiny Udogie - A lack of feasible alternatives meant that Udogie was one of the few starters against West Ham that also lined up against AZ. He played the entirety of the clash but will undoubtedly start again on Sunday.

DM: Yves Bissouma - Spurs' defensive issues have often stemmed from midfield this season. Postecoglou has sometimes gone too attacking in the engine room but Bissouma's presence helps maintain some balance.

CM: Dejan Kulusevski - An inspired performance against West Ham highlighted just how impactful the Swede can be in an attacking midfield role. A goal against the Irons capped a magnificent display,

CM: Pape Matar Sarr - Postecoglou was brave when substituting Maddison at half-time last weekend, sending Sarr on in his place. Eyebrows were raised but the Senegal international helped solidify the centre of the pitch, subsequently aiding Spurs in their victory.

RW: Brennan Johnson - A run of scoring in seven straight games for club and country came to an end against West Ham, with Johnson unable to have his usual impact down the right-hand side. He will be keen to get back on the scoresheet against a struggling Palace defence.

ST: Dominic Solanke - Two goals and an assist in six Premier League matches is a solid return from the summer recruit, who has played a facilitative role while leading the line in recent weeks.

LW: Timo Werner - Son's expected absence will leave a gaping hole that needs filling on the left wing, with Werner having done an admirable if unpolished job during the South Korean's recent spell on the sidelines. He's still without a goal since March.
