Wolverhampton Wanderers have locked in Matheus Cunha with a long-term contract extension despite strong interest in him during the winter transfer window.

Still, rumors about his future persist. Cunha has become a key player for Wolves, thriving in various attacking roles.

Whether as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward, the Brazilian has adapted seamlessly and made a big impact.

His performances have drawn the attention of top clubs, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keeping tabs on him, according to Fichajes.

While Wolves value him highly, reports indicate they could consider offers over €70 million. Sky Sports News also revealed that Nottingham Forest made a club-record bid of around £60 million for Cunha in the winter window.

CaughtOffside reported on Saturday, citing sources, that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to embrace the competition for Cunha.

Spurs won’t have an easy path, though, as CaughtOffside also claims that PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are all interested in Cunha for the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are still focused on finding a new striker, with Cunha remaining a priority despite interest in other players like Benjamin Sesko. Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s interest in the Brazilian has grown, especially after Jhon Duran’s departure in January.

Although Cunha recently extended his contract with Villa, it includes a £62 million release clause, which is expected to be triggered by any interested clubs when the transfer window opens again.
