Tottenham Hotspur reach agreement with Israeli star Manor Solomon | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Israeli international Manor Solomon after reaching a verbal agreement with him on a five-year deal, reports Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs have planned medical tests for the Fulham loanee next week.

The Lilywhites will sign the Shakhtar Donetsk star on a free transfer due to a FIFA ruling which allows the players from the Ukrainian and Russian leagues to cancel their contracts with their respective clubs until next summer in the wake of the ongoing war between the two nations.

Solomon joined the Cottagers last summer but had to wait for his debut after undergoing knee surgery, which kept him sidelined for several months.

However, the 23-year-old made an immediate impact after returning to action, scoring in four consecutive Premier League games.

Spurs had been tracking Solomon for a while and have managed to beat several top clubs for his signature.

A regular for the Israeli national team, Solomon has scored seven goals in 35 appearances.

Spurs’ overhaul under new manager Ange Postecoglou is picking up pace, with Solomon set to become the third signing of the summer after Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison.

They have also completed the permanent transfers of Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus and Pedro Porro from Sporting CP.

Harry Kane’s future at Spurs continues to be the subject of intense speculation. The club want to keep the striker but Bayern Munich are maximising their efforts to lure him to Germany.

Two defensive targets – Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van de Ven of Wolfsburg – are top of Spurs’ wishlist.
