Toronto FC remains active in the transfer market, seeking to bolster the squad for the 2025 MLS season. With Robin Fraser at the helm, expectations are high for a significant improvement, not only in the league but also in the Canadian Championship, where the club has struggled in recent years.
Fraser’s focus on revitalizing underperforming players, including Lorenzo Insigne, could be key to Toronto FC’s ambitions this year.
However, the latest major move for Toronto FC comes in the goalkeeping department, as the club officially signs Adisa De Rosario, a 20-year-old Canadian goalkeeper.

De Rosario has spent the past seasons with Toronto FC II, and his promotion to the first team marks an important step in his career. He signs with an option to extend his contract through 2026, 2027, and even 2028.
Adisa De Rosario’s signing carries special significance for Toronto FC fans, as he is the son of club legend Dwayne De Rosario.
The elder De Rosario was a key figure for The Reds, making 97 appearances, scoring 33 goals, and providing 13 assists during his time with the club. He retired in 2014, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy in Canadian soccer.
Unlike his father, who played as an attacking midfielder, Adisa De Rosario has chosen a different path as a goalkeeper. His performances in MLS NEXT Pro with Toronto FC II in 2024 were promising.
Over 20 matches, he conceded 34 goals, keeping two clean sheets while accumulating 1,980 minutes of playing time. Though there is still room for improvement, his potential makes him a valuable addition to Toronto FC’s depth chart.
