The latest reports in Italy suggest that Torino may be eyeing a former Roma player.

In fact, it is former Primavera attacker Cristian Volpato who has found himself on the Granata’s radar.

After a positive season in Serie B with Sassuolo, culminating in promotion to Serie A, the attacking midfielder born in 2003 has ended up in Torino’s sights.

According to TuttoSport, Torino have put on the table an offer of 10 million euros plus bonuses to try to convince Sassuolo to sell the Italian-Australian talent.

The Neroverdi, however, value the player at over 15 million and at the moment do not seem willing to accept lower offers.

Volpato, who grew up in the Roma youth system and made his Serie A debut under José Mourinho on 4 December 2021, moved to Sassuolo in the summer of 2023 for 7.5 million euros.

Last season he made 18 appearances and scored 4 goals in the league, showing significant growth.

Roma are also following the negotiations with interest, as they hold a 15% share of the player’s future resale.

In the event of a transfer, the Giallorossi club could therefore cash in on an interesting sum.
