Tommaso Baldanzi: “Great first half, we could have done better in the second one.” | OneFootball

Roma midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi discussed the team’s performance in tonight’s 1-1 affair with Athletic Club.

In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Baldanzi commented, “We had a great first half. Then in the second half we dropped off.”

“We couldn’t get out and press well, and in the meantime they improved. We could have done better in the second half.”

“Overall, we had a good performance, we deserved more but that’s football.”

“From tomorrow we will continue to work to try to bring home points in Europe too.”

“De Rossi also saw me as a midfielder and had me try there. With Juric I play further forward, it’s the same for me. I just hope to give a hand to the team wherever I happen to be used.”

“The coach likes us to man-mark closely and defend all together,” he added.

“We had prepared this match well, we all got along very well and we managed to score and play the first half in their half. In order to improve, we must be more consistent and avoid dropping off in energy.”
