Here is one great reason for optimism - we are unbeaten in 20 matches in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga against FK Austria Vienna (with 16 wins and four draws). Our last defeat against the Violets came close to seven years ago - Austria Vienna for their part have never had such a long period without a win against Bundesliga opponents in their history as that.
Both sides go into the big clash on Sunday in the mood to atone for disappointments last week. We were beaten 1-2 by league leaders SK Sturm Graz in a dramatic encounter, while the hosts lost the Vienna derby a few hours later 0-2 to Rapid. The Violets have faced a series of setbacks recently, with a goalless draw against WAC and a defeat in their cup semi-final against Hartberg.
We are currently two points behind the Viennese side, who have topped the table recently. An away win would therefore allow us to overtake Austria and go into second spot.
We were able to celebrate an important statement win on our last trip to the Generali Arena in February. The hosts battled us all the way, but we were able to hold on to an early lead to take three points - we would gladly take that again this weekend! After our unnecessary defeat against Sturm Graz last week, we are really motivated to do better in Vienna and get a result there. Austria are having a fantastic season on the whole, they made the semi-finals in the cup and are second in the league. They definitely are still part of the title race. We have to be just as focused and sharp as we were in our last clash in Vienna, and use our chances effectively. We know full well that it will be a very difficult match.

We have our next very difficult clash ahead on Sunday. We won our last clash in Vienna, so we know exactly how hard it is to get a result there. Austria Vienna are still battling to win the title, and we want to take a win to stay right in the mix and keep the pressure up on the leaders.
