It is no secret that FC Barcelona has been working on player renewals recently. Several key players have seen their deals be renewed, and it is something that the club is openly giving a priority to. However, there are still some pending cases that Barcelona has to address moving forward.
After renewing the likes of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo, left-back Gerard Martin, and Golden Boy duo Pedri and Gavi, Barcelona wasted no time in getting to Pau Cubarsi as well. Now, the Spanish defender has already renewed his current deal and his stay has been extended as well.
However, as highlighted by MARCA, the cases of Ferran Torres, Jules Kounde, and Raphinha are slightly peculiar. That is because none of them have seen any sort of advancements be made when it comes to renewing their current deals, but Barcelona seems to have no worries regarding the contracts of all three players.
The reason behind that is, as per MARCA, the fact that they each have contracts that are valid till 2027. Barcelona is currently more focused on the contracts that are set to expire in 2026 or require more urgency, and are trying to sort them out as soon as possible before looking at other contracts.
When it comes to these three players, there is no doubt within Barcelona that the club is open to negotiating and extending their stay as well. Ferran Torres has been a great option for Hansi Flick this season, and both Jules Kounde and Raphinha are enjoying sensational campaigns as well.
However, there is still the case of Ansu Fati to address as well. The young Barcelona forward also sees his contract expire in 2027, but there is a lot of uncertainty in that case. While Hansi Flick and the Catalan club still reportedly have faith in him, it remains to be seen what comes out of it.
On the other hand, cases such as those of Lamine Yamal or even Marc Bernal are more or less sorted with some kind of agreement already in place. Once the two youngsters turn 18, they will have automatic extensions in place that will ensure their continuity with Barcelona.
