Three former Barcelona players likely to fill the Blaugrana coffers this summer – Report | OneFootball

The summer transfer window is yet to open, but FC Barcelona have already seen some transfer moves materialize that will bring several million Euros to their coffers.

For instance, the Blaugranes have already seen their player Alex Valle join the Serie A side Como after the Italians exercised their option to sign him permanently after he spent the second half of the last season on loan with them.

Similarly, their former defender Jean-Claire Todibo has already secured his permanent move to West Ham United, which will bring around €8 million into Barcelona’s coffers, as they had a significant right on any future transfer fee paid for him.

As things stand, Mundo Deportivo notes that there are three more such former players whose transfers are looking likely to materialize in the coming few weeks, which will again bring several million to the Catalan club.

Oscar Mingueza

One such player is the defender Oscar Mingueza, who has not shown a lot of interest in the renewal offered to him by Celta Vigo. The Galicians are clear that they will accept his transfer only if his €20 million release clause is paid, and if this happens, the Blaugranes will get €10 million, as they have 50% rights on the player.

However, there is only one year left on his contract, and he can leave Vigo for free next year, something that Barcelona naturally do not want. Olympique Marseille and Wolfsburg, two sides interested in him, are not willing to pay his entire release clause.

Mika Marmol

Another former defender who can bring a lot of money to the Blaugrana club is Mika Marmol, on whom the Catalans have 50% rights. His future at Las Palmas is highly uncertain, and with a €10 million release clause, several Serie A teams have shown an interest in him. However, Roma’s interest has been declining recently.

Ferran Jugtla

Lastly, Ferran Jugtla, on whom Barcelona have a 10% right, can also change clubs as he is enjoying interest from several Spanish clubs. However, nothing is concrete yet.

For now, it remains to be seen which of these players will actually change clubs this summer. But there is no doubt that any income from their sales would be very welcome at Barcelona.
