Arda Guler’s future at Real Madrid is once again under the spotlight following reports from Real Madrid Confidencial revealing that three European clubs, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United, have submitted offers to take the Turkish midfielder on loan.
However, despite the interest, all signs suggest that Real Madrid do not intend to let Guler leave, as manager Xabi Alonso has made it clear that he sees the 20-year-old as an important player for the 2025/26 season.
Guler’s situation at the club has dramatically shifted in recent months. Under former manager Carlo Ancelotti, the youngster struggled for minutes and was often considered a candidate for a loan move to gain more playing time.
In fact, had Ancelotti stayed, it is likely that Guler would have been loaned out or even considered a permanent exit. However, Alonso’s arrival has changed the outlook completely.
The Turkish international is beginning to feel more valued in the current setup. Speaking ahead of the Club World Cup match against Pachuca, Guler admitted that he now feels more involved, noting that Xabi Alonso regularly speaks to him and trusts him.

Despite his happiness, Guler was also realistic. He said that while he has not actively thought about leaving the club, he would have to consider his options if he continues to be sidelined.
It must be noted that Alonso has played a pivotal role in shifting the club’s stance on Guler. The manager believes in controlling the tempo of matches through short passes and intelligent movement, a tactical system in which Guler naturally thrives.
The interest from Juventus, Leverkusen, and Newcastle remains concrete, but Real Madrid are not entertaining offers at this stage.
The club views Guler as a long-term asset, one who fits the new footballing vision being introduced under Alonso.
Real Madrid officials believe that Guler can grow into a key member of their midfield alongside Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga.
