The France international has officially left San Siro after six years, joining Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal.

His farewell message on social media, however, was highly critical of the Milan management, and according to Gazzetta, it irritated the Rossoneri executives.

According to the report, Milan are particularly disappointed because they always defended Theo during tough times last season, especially when the defender’s poor performances reflected his struggles off the pitch.

Theo said the Milan direction didn’t reflect his values or ambition, and according to the report, this is the part that annoyed the club most.

Theo Hernandez’s message prompted reactions from former Milan defender Davide Calabria and Rossoneri legend Paolo Maldini, who had signed the Frenchman from Real Madrid for just €22m in 2019.

Theo won the 2021-22 Serie A title at Milan and scored 34 goals in 262 matches during his six-year spell with the Diavoli.
