‘The walls shook’ – Real Madrid-bound Mbappé in explosive falling out with PSG president | OneFootball

An insight into a heated falling out between Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé, and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has come to the fore on Monday.

The name of frontman Mbappé of course took its place front and centre in the headlines in France once more late last night.

As much came as the 25-year-old, ahead of his imminent move to La Liga champions Real Madrid, took to the Parc des Princes pitch for the final time in PSG’s colours.

The reception afforded to Mbappé proved an altogether mixed one, with clashes having been noted in the stands amongst those eager to pay tribute to the club’s all-time top scorer, and those instead intent on booing and jeering him.

And, if the latest word doing the rounds 24 hours on is anything to go by, it would appear that the drama in Paris was not confined solely to the Parc des Princes crowd.

In addition, a mere hour before kick-off against Toulouse, Mbappé was at the heart of a major blowout.

This came after the Frenchman was confronted by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

As part of his official video farewell message released last Friday, it was widely noted that, amid a long list of thank yous on the part of Mbappé, one name was missing – that of Al-Khelaifi.

As per a report from Le Parisien, the PSG chief, in turn, confronted his side’s long-time talisman on Sunday, to question him on as much.

The pair, it is claimed, isolated themselves in a room away from the rest of the club’s staff, in an attempt to clarify the situation.

The discussion, however, quickly turned to a major argument.

Citing an individual present behind the scenes at the Parc des Princes, Le Parisien add that ‘the walls shook’, amid a ‘visibly violent scene’.

The warm-up on the part of Luis Enrique’s squad was subsequently delayed, as all involved attempted to calm the mounting tensions.
