Oscar Bobb is slowly working his way back to full fitness. The young winger returned to training last week after spending a lengthy period on the sidelines as he recovered from a fractured leg. The road back to the pitch will be a battle for Bobb. He suffered a serious injury on the eve of this season and the Manchester City youngster will need time on the training pitch to get his confidence back.
Speaking ahead of team’s clash with Ipswich Town Pep Guardiola was asked about how Oscar Bobb was tracking on his return from injury. The Manchester City manager explained that Bobb is suffering from doubts but he will be fine in time as he completes more training sessions. Guardiola told the media: “Still he has a little doubts because it’s been a long time, but as much he makes training sessions and training sessions, he will be fine.”
It is only natural that Oscar Bobb will need time to work his way back to full fitness and find his touch. He did suffer a serious injury on the eve of this season, and the road back to the pitch will take time for Bobb to progress down. While it is exciting to ponder the prospect of the young winger being back on the pitch it will likely take time for that to occur. But there is no need to rush Bobb back. He is still only a young player and he has plenty of time to get back into the swing of things as he works his way back to full fitness.
The good news is that Oscar Bobb is slowly working his way back to full fitness. That is the positive to take from Pep Guardiola’s update although we may not see Bobb on the picth for a little while yet.
