The transfer of attacking midfielder Julio Enciso from Brighton to BlueCo has fallen through according to journalist Uriel Lugt.
It was reported that BlueCo had agreed a deal with Brighton last week for Enciso, with the deal thought to be worth around €20m.
The 21-year-old made 29 appearances in all competitions last season, and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Ipswich.
Enciso scored against Chelsea last season, and the Paraguay international is a talented player, although he’s struggled with injury problems.
The move certainly came as a surprise given Enciso is predominantly a number ten, who can also play wide, but Chelsea are said to have seen the move as an opportunity.

The plan for Enciso was reportedly to spend this season at Strasbourg, before joining Chelsea next summer, but according to Lugt that now won’t be happening.
He took to X.com and said:
“Julio Enciso’s transfer to BlueCo has fallen through.
“The player must return to #Brighton, as reported by @Wilson11G.”
Enciso had undergone a medical, and it was reported Chelsea were evaluating the results given the knee injury the attacking midfielder had.
It’s clear there must have been something Chelsea were unhappy with, or perhaps it was a convenient reason for them to back out of a transfer they were having second thoughts about.
With Enciso now reportedly not joining the BlueCo group, Chelsea still have a lot of work to do before the end of the window.
The Blues have sold very well this summer, but there are still a number of players they need to move on before Monday’s deadline.
