A statement was made in the East as FC Cincinnati dethroned Inter Miami and made a statement push for the Supporters’ Shield with a thumping 6-1 win.

One Sergio Busquets was also shown just the fourth red card in his career, making things a night to forget for the visitors.

Orlando City also put up a goal fest with a 5-0 win over D.C. United and Columbus followed suit with a 4-0 win over Toronto.

Canada’s showdown saw Montreal and Vancouver split the points 1-1, and Philadelphia Union avoided finishing the day bottom of the table with a 0-0 draw against New York Red Bulls.

Then the goals poured in out West. Real Salt Lake thumped Atlanta United 5-2 thanks to an inspired Diego Luna and Austin pulled off a 2-1 comeback over New York City FC. The day’s final show saw Seattle beat New England 2-0.

Meanwhile, for Orlando City, two legends moved over for Facundo Torres.

His assist and a goal saw him move ahead of Kaká (10) for the most games with multiple goal contributions (10). He is also ahead of Nani for the second-most regular-season goals in club history (29).

Alongside FC Cincinnati dethroning Inter Miami and holding a one point lead with a game in hand, RSL now sit level on points with leaders LAFC out West.

Vancouver missed a chance to continue up the table and sit fifth while Austin are on the edge of the play-offs.

Another push sees Orlando jump into the confirmed post-season spots while Toronto are still on the brink of crashing out.
