Arsenal secured their second-place finish this season thanks to Declan Rice's strike which means Newcastle, in third, still have an outside chance of finishing outside the Champions League places come the end of the campaign.

Nottingham Forest ensured that they go into next weekend's final game in the hunt for a top five spot with a win over West Ham. Morgan Gibbs-White was the star as Nuno's men held on for a vital three points.

At Goodison Park, Everton fans said goodbye to their famous old stadium with a comfortable 2-0 win over Southampton. It was also an emotional day for Jamie Vardy who netted on his final start at the King Power Stadium.

What they said 🗣️

“I’m actually enjoying it,” David Moyes said after Everton's win over Southampton.

“Some questions make me think, ‘This is difficult to take’, but there is more a feeling this might be a club which is coming back together.

“Before there was a real break-up of a sort of the love affair with the supporters, the players, the club, the owners.

“We are all trying to get back in bed together, if you know what I mean. If we can take what we had today to the new stadium, it will be something.

“I was worried today. Everyone had been talking about this for so long."

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo meanwhile admitted his nerves as the east Midland outfit won at West Ham.

"A lot of stoppage in the game so we were anxious to get the game finished.

"Until then [West Ham goal] we were in control. Then the anxiety comes when we allowed the goal and everything is difficult from there. Matz [Sels] did great again so we're happy.

"We started really well. Previous games a lot of bad things happened to us but today was not the case. Today we pressed good, got a good goal, started well in the second half, on the front foot. Generally a good performance.

"The players worked hard to put West Ham under pressure."
