‘The best player in the world’… Cole Palmer names Barcelona star as the world’s finest | OneFootball

FC Barcelona is now finally back at a level where even global recognition does not feel like something out of the ordinary. It has become more of the norm for the Catalan giants again, exactly how it was all those years ago. Moreover, even individual players at Barcelona such as Pedri and Lamine Yamal are getting the praise they deserve.

The latter in particular is attracting a lot of attention and praise from people even outside of the club despite being just 17 years old. As it stands, Yamal has already become the talk of the town as he continues to amaze the footballing world with his immense talent and performances in big games for Barcelona.

Previously, the likes of Fabio Capello and even Spain legend David Villa have claimed him as a favorite for the Ballon d’Or. Now, however, another big name in the footballing world right now has claimed that the young Barcelona star is arguably the world’s best player right now.

Cole Palmer heaps huge praise on Lamine Yamal

Cole Palmer, a key player for Premier League side Chelsea, recently spoke in an interview on Sky Sports and was asked about his opinion on Lamine Yamal following the tie against Inter Milan. For the Chelsea star, the Barcelona youngster is arguably the world’s best player right now:

“Mad, he’s probably the best player in the world to be honest.”

Moreover, when asked if it was his technical ability that impressed him, Palmer gave even more reasons as to why he has such high praise for the 17-year-old winger:

“Just everything. I feel like everything they (Barcelona) do goes through him and just when you watch him, it’s mad.”

Even when asked about Yamal’s ability to glide past multiple defenders with ease and how difficult it is to actually do at such a high level, Palmer simply stated that he could not even try to do something like that while laughing:

“I don’t know, I’ve never tried it.”

Commending the Barcelona star’s mentality

Lastly, they spoke about the mentality of the young Spaniard as well. For Palmer, it is something mightily impressive and it makes him a player that the Chelsea star loves to watch as well:

“Yeah. He’s actually got his confidence and he’s got no fear. I love watching him.”

As each day goes by and the actual Ballon d’Or ceremony gets closer, the praise for Yamal only gets better. His most recent display as well, against Real Madrid in La Liga, was yet again nothing short of being something truly magical.
