An insight into the growing unrest across the playing squad at La Liga giants Barcelona with their treatment under the watch of head coach Xavi has on Saturday been provided.
The name of tactician Xavi has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital with a bang over the last 48 hours.
After Joan Laporta and the Barcelona board were left furious with the club’s headmaster owing to comments made during a midweek press conference, it has been widely reported that his future – confirmed by the Blaugrana just weeks ago – has been thrown back up in the air.
And yet, if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, it would appear that the discontent with Xavi is not confined solely to the boardroom.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, several leading members of the Barca dressing room have also been left ‘upset’ by recent actions on the part of their manager.
This comes for a variety of reasons, amid mounting concerns that Xavi’s man management skills are proving themselves not up to scratch.
From game-time concerns to tactical disagreements and more, all of Robert Lewandowski, Vitor Roque, Raphinha, João Félix and Ronald Araújo have of late made clear their unhappiness with what they deem as mistreatment.
