Inter are going through a particularly favourable period regarding their head-to-head record against rivals Juventus, however, their recent positive streak was not enough to break a lengthy taboo concerning their Serie A encounters.
The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last four matches against the Old Lady and have only picked up two defeats from their last 10 meetings across all competitions, but their latest 1-0 win in February 2024, during a title-winning campaign, may not be entirely good news for Simone Inzaghi.
Despite significantly improving their head-to-head record in recent seasons against Juventus, Inter have failed to beat the Bianconeri for two consecutive Serie A matches. Incredibly, the last time they managed to do so was in the 2003/2004 season, when the Nerazzurri would finish fourth, 10 points behind the Old Lady.

Inter managed to get back-to-back victories against Juventus throughout these 20 years, but they always came in different competitions, as was the case in 2022, when a Nerazzurri team already coached by Simone Inzaghi picked up three consecutive wins by beating Massimiliano Allegri’s outfit in the Italian Supercup, Serie A and Coppa Italia final.
The Biscione are currently second in Serie A, and a win in Sunday’s Derby d’Italia would be crucial not to lose ground from leaders Napoli. On the other hand, Thiago Motta’s side have the chance to leapfrog Inter by defeating them.
