The 22-year-old is a big Liverpool fan but is currently uncertain about his prospects at the club long term.
Arne Slot will offer no guarantees to the creative midfielder - handing him only one Premier League start - and his contract is due to expire in 2027.
This season he has contributed four goals and two assists in all competitions - but he has managed only 727 minutes in total across 26 appearances.
Given his quality - and lack of opportunities - Liverpool are prepared to pave the way for Elliott to leave this summer.
The club would be looking for around £50m to part with the England under-21 international and there are plenty of Premier League rivals who would happily take him.

Perhaps the most solid links come in the form of Wolves, who are gearing up for the exit of Matheus Cunha. The attacking talisman is on the list of Manchester United and comes with a £62.5m release clause.
And if he is sold then Wolves will go after Elliott as a replacement. That’s according to a new report in GIVEMESPORT, which claims talks will be ramped up soon between the club and Elliott’s representatives.

“Wolves are set to accelerate talks with Elliott's representatives over a potential deal,” the report states.
“[They] want to discover whether the Liverpool star would be interested in completing a switch to Molineux when the transfer window reopens.
“Wolves have the most concrete interest in Elliott at this stage and, after seeing him rack up six goal involvements over the course of five starts in all competitions this season, Pereira is open to handing him the chance to become the talisman within his side if Cunha departs.”
Liverpool will seek to guard against losing him on a free in 2027 and he is unlikely to want to sign a new deal given his scant game time under Slot.
